Where r u ???

I'm running late. I'm stuck in traffic. I'm stopping by the market for a bottle of wine. I'm circling for a parking space. I'm just down the block. I'm right outside.

Today, people trade these little updates with a string of cell phone calls and text messages. But companies including Google Inc. are betting that will change as more smart phones come with GPS technology built in.

Glympse Inc., a Seattle-area startup, is the latest in the field. Its application, also called Glympse, lets smart phone users send a message and a link to a map marking their location to anyone in their address book.

On a computer, recipients can watch in real time as the sender circles the block looking for an open parking space. (On a mobile browser, recipients would have to hit refresh.)

Glympse users can save oft-repeated messages, like Dad's daily confirmation that he's picked up his daughter from day care and is on the way home. Glympses can be set to expire, preventing recipients from tracking senders' moves for longer than desired.

The startup, founded last year by three Microsoft Corp. veterans, Bryan Trussel, Jeremy Mercer and Steve Miller, hopes to set itself apart from similar programs like Loopt and Google Latitude by not requiring Glympse users to set up a new social network. Recipients don't even need to download the program, though they get a slicker interface if they do.

By contrast, Google's program only works if everyone uses its Gmail service, and Loopt requires all users to download the application and set up a network of friends.

Glympse launched a free "beta" test version of the service Tuesday for T-Mobile's G1 Android phone. Trussel, the chief executive officer, said Glympse hopes to support the free service with location-sensitive advertising at some point.

The company said versions for iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and other devices are coming soon

Animals too have sense of morality!

It's not just humans who have a moral compass, animals too possess a sense of morality which allows them to tell the difference between right and wrong.

That's the conclusion of a new book.

Boffins who study animal behaviour reckon they have evidence to prove that species ranging from mice to primates are governed by moral codes of conduct in the same way as humans, The Telegraph reported.

However, Prof Marc Bekoff, an ecologist at University of Colorado, Boulder, believes that morals are "hard-wired" into the brains of all mammals and provide the "social glue" that allow often aggressive and competitive animals to live together in groups.

Bekoff reached the conclusion after compiling evidence from around the world that shows how different species of animals appear to have an innate sense of fairness, display empathy and help other animals that are in distress.

Prof Bekoff, who presents his case in a new book Wild Justice, said: "The belief that humans have morality and animals don't is a long-standing assumption, but there is a growing amount of evidence that is showing us that this simply cannot be the case.

"Just as in humans, the moral nuances of a particular culture or group will be different from another, but they are certainly there. Moral codes are species specific, so they can be difficult to compare with each other or with humans."

Prof Bekoff believes morals developed in animals to help regulate behaviour in social groups of animals such as wolves and primates.
He claims that these rules help to control fighting within the group and encourage co-operative behaviour.

Prof Bekoff, who co-wrote the book with moral philosopher Jessica Pierce, also from the University of Colorado, added: "There are cases of dolphins helping humans to escape from sharks and elephants that have helped antelope escape from enclosures. While it is difficult to know for certain that there is cross species empathy, it is hard to argue against it."

I shocked !! And a total Disaster!!!

My Google Adsense account disabled on 23 of May and the cause was invalid clicks. I shocked how this is posible? But i find out that its true and few other reasons were behind this. First of all I found the evidence of requests for clicks on my Site ads by using my Social sites and mail account. One may ask "why r u shocked"? Don't you know that Requesting for clicks on ads is against the Term of Service of Adsense". The answer will be " No , I haven't request any body to click on my ads". Let me explain. I was in vaccation for 5 days. And before the day of vaccation starting I left my Office PC live. And i stored all my passwords and login information in a folder of my PC as i forgot those. One of my coligue use this option. He want to surprized me by increasing the income of my google adsense account. He didn't click on the ads from my PC. But he requested few of his friends and chat with few of my Facebook and chatting site friends to make few clicks by using my accounts and PC. And i Banned from Adsense. Though I made a appel but i dont know what will be the result. Pray for my Adsense Account.

Blackberry - Love to eat and Use ??!!

Ripe, rippening and unripe blackberry in bush

How a dreams look like??!!

The blackberry is an aggregate fruit from a bramble bush, genus Rubus in the rose family Rosaceae. It is a widespread and well known group of several hundred species, many of which are closely related apomictic microspecies native throughout the temperate Northern hemisphere.

Its not the Blackberry that I and you are looking for. Its the Black berry Mobile that i ever dreamed. Heres one of my few dreams profile.

BlackBerry is a line of wireless handheld devices which was introduced in 1999 as a two-way pager!!!!???. In 2002, the more commonly known smartphone BlackBerry was released, which supports push e-mail, mobile telephone, text messaging, internet faxing, web browsing and other wireless information services as well as a multi-touch interface. It is an example of a convergent device. Developed by the Canadian company Research In Motion (RIM), it delivers information over the wireless data networks of mobile phone service companies. BlackBerry first made headway in the marketplace by concentrating on e-mail. RIM currently offers BlackBerry e-mail service to non-BlackBerry devices, such as the Palm Treo, through the BlackBerry Connect software. The original BlackBerry device had a monochrome display, but all current models have color displays ( its the colour of life).

While including PDA applications (address book, calendar, to-do lists, etc.) as well as telephone capabilities on newer models, the BlackBerry is primarily known for its ability to send and receive e-mail wherever it can access a wireless network of certain cellular phone carriers. It has a built-in QWERTY keyboard, optimized for "thumbing", the use of only the thumbs to type. System navigation is primarily accomplished by a scroll ball in the middle of the device (older devices used a track wheel on the side). Some models (currently, those manufactured for use with iDEN networks such as Nextel and Mike) also incorporate a Push-to-Talk (PTT) feature, similar to a two-way radio.

Modern BlackBerry handhelds incorporate an ARM 7 or 9 processor, while older BlackBerry 950 and 957 handhelds used Intel 80386 processors. The latest GSM BlackBerry models (8100, 8300 and 8700 series) have an Intel PXA901 312 MHz processor, 64 MB flash memory and 16 MB SDRAM. CDMA BlackBerry smartphones are based on Qualcomm MSM6x00 chipsets which also include the ARM 9-based processor and GSM 900/1800 roaming (as the case with the 8830 and 9500). The devices are very popular with some businesses, where they are primarily used to provide e-mail access to roaming employees. To fully integrate the BlackBerry into a company's systems, the installation of BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) is required.

On 18 Dec 2008, RIM announced the number of BlackBerry subscribers has reached approximately 21 million ( I hope i will b one of the owner when it will be free!!!!???). As much as i wrote down here as i felt sorry to havent one of it. So i just ....................

Does it make sense??!!

U.S. President J.F. Kennedy in a two-piece, single-breasted suitIts ( Garments)

Its All about Suit.

A suit is a set of garments crafted from the same cloth, consisting of at least a jacket and trousers. Lounge suits are the most common style of Western suit, originating in England as country wear. Other types of suit still worn today are firstly the dinner suit, part of black tie, which arose as a lounging alternative to dress coats in much the same way as the day lounge suit came to replace frock and morning coats; and secondly, rarely worn today, the morning suit. This article discusses the lounge suit (including business suits), which is part of the 'informal' dress code.

Parts of a suit

There are many possible variations in the choice of the style, the garments and the details of a suit

The cut : The silhouette of a suit is its outline. No suit is skin-tight; the amount of extra fabric and the way it hangs is known as the drape. The shape of the front of the suit is particularly affected by the way the suit buttons. The two main cuts consist firstly of double-breasted suits, a conservative design with two vertical rows of buttons, spanned by a large overlap of the left and right sides; and secondly, single-breasted suits, on which the sides just meet at the front down a single row of buttons.

British suits are characterised by moderately tapered sides, minimal shoulder padding, and two vents. Italian suits are characterised by strongly padded shoulders, strongly tapered sides, and no vent. American suits are considered more casual than the preceding styles, and are characterised by moderate shoulder padding, minimally tapered sides, and a single vent. The sack suit is a loose American style. Contemporary is a term that includes a variety of recently designed garments that do not fit into the preceding categories.

Fabric : Suits are made in a variety of fabrics, but most commonly from wool. The two main yarns produce worsteds (where the fibres are combed before spinning) and woollens (where they are not). These can be woven in a number of ways producing flannel, tweed, gabardine, and fresco among others. These fabrics all have different weights and feel, and some fabrics have an S (or Super S) number describing the fineness of the fibres. For hot weather, linen is also used, and in North America cotton seersucker is worn. Other materials are used sometimes, such as cashmere.Silk and silk blended with wool are sometimes used. Synthetic materials, while cheap, are very rarely recommended by experts.

The main three colours for suits work in business are light grey, dark grey, and navy, either with or without patterns. In particular, grey flannel suiting has been worn very widely since the 1930s. In non-business settings or less-formal business contexts, brown is another important colour; olive also occurs. In summer, lighter shades, such as tan or cream, are popular

Jacket : Single- vs. double-breasted jacketMost single-breasted suits have two or three buttons, and one or four buttons are unusual. It is rare to find a suit with more than four buttons, although zoot suits can have as many as six or more due to their longer length. There is also variation in the placement and style of buttons, since the button placement is critical to the overall impression of height conveyed by the jacket. The centre or top button will typically line up quite closely with the natural waistline.

Lapels : The jacket's lapels can be notched (sometimes called "stepped"), peaked, shawl, or "trick" (Mandarin and other unconventional styles). Each lapel style carries different connotations, and is worn with different cuts of suit. Notched lapels are only found on single-breasted jackets and are the most informal style. Double-breasted jackets usually have peaked lapels. Shawl lapels are a style derived from the Victorian informal evening wear, and as such are not normally seen on suit jackets except for dinner suits.

Pockets : Most jackets have a variety of inner pockets, and two main outer pockets, which are generally either patch pockets, flap pockets, or jetted pockets. The patch pocket is, with its single extra piece of cloth sewn directly onto the front of the jacket, a sporting option, sometimes seen on summer linen suits, or other informal styles. The flap pocket is standard for side pockets, and has an extra lined flap of matching fabric covering the top of the pocket. A jetted pocket is most formal, with a small strip of fabric taping the top and bottom of the slit for the pocket. This style is most often on seen on formalwear, such as a dinner jacket

Sleeves : Suit jackets in all styles typically have three or four buttons on each cuff, which are often purely decorative (the sleeve is sewn closed and cannot be unbuttoned to open). Five buttons are unusual, but are a modern fashion innovation.

Vents : A vent is a slit in the bottom rear (the "tail") of the jacket. Originally, vents were a sporting option, designed to make riding easier, so are traditional on hacking jackets, formal coats such as a morning coat, and, for reasons of pragmatism, overcoats. Today there are three styles of venting: the single-vented style (with one vent at the centre); the ventless style; and the double-vented style (one vent on each side).

Waistcoats : Waistcoats (often called vests in the USA) were almost always worn with suits prior to the 1940s. They were revived in the 1970s and remained popular throughout that decade in some parts of the world, and remain popular still, particularly for example in Germany. Waistcoats can be either single-breasted or double-breasted

Trousers : Suit trousers are always made of the same material as the jacket. Even from the 1910s to 1920s, before the invention of sports jackets specifically to be worn with odd trousers, wearing a suit jacket with odd trousers was as an alternative to a full suit. However, with the modern advent of sports jackets, suit jackets are always worn with matching trousers, and the trousers have always been worn with the appropriate jacket

Breeches : As an alternative to trousers, breeches (or knickers in variations of English where this does not refer to underwear) may be worn with informal suits, such as tweed. These are shorter, descending to just below the knees, fastened closely at the top of the calf by a tab or button cuff. While once common, they are now typically only worn when engaged in traditional outdoor sports, such as shooting

KAMASUTRA-Classic Lovemaking Techinques-Introduction.

INTRODUCTION

The Kamasutra and its associate texts Ananga Ranga, The Perfume Gardent, and theTao are not as badly sexual as we assume. There is connection between these ancient writings and life in the 20th centurys. It is a connection that centres on fellings. Although it is possible for us to interact sexually with many people, unless we have also cultivated some loves and warmthed towards the person who is arousing us. we won't get near the real goal of Kama. The concept of Kama involves the " enjoyment of appropriate objects by the five sense of hearing, felling, seeing, tasting, and smelling assisted by the mind together with soul". As a concept Kama is just as relevant to us now as it was to the Indians around in AD400.

The Kamasutra may have been produced at any time between AD100 and AD400. And it was written in an India that no longer exists. In those days the idle citizen cultivated an idle life.He surrounded himself with friends, made love as if it were an artform, ate and drank well, was interested in painting and music and regard himself as a fair lord and master.
The Kamasutra has been written for the nobolity of the ancient India, by a noble man. Vatsayayana thought of life as consisting of dharma, artha and Karma.Dharma was the acquisition of religious merit; artha was the acquisition of wealth; kama was the acquisiton of love or sensual pleasure. These ideals are not that disimilar from the codes that we live by today. Although we are not so focused on religious merit any more, we do pursue self-knoweldge and personal growth, most of us would like to have enough money to enjoy a comfortable lifestyl, and most of us would like to be involved in loving sexual relationship. The main difference is that the world today is far more egalitarian than it was in the time of Vatsayayana...............

It was a monster !!??

Styracosaurus was a genus of herbivorous ceratopsian dinosaur from the Cretaceous Period (Campanian stage), about 76.5 to 75.0 million years ago. It had four to six long horns extending from its neck frill, a smaller horn on each of its cheeks, and a single horn protruding from its nose, which may have reached dimensions of around 60 centimeters (2 ft) long and 15 centimeters (6 in) wide. The function or functions of the horns and frills have been the subject of debate for many years.

Styracosaurus was a large dinosaur, reaching lengths of 5.5 meters (18 ft) and weighing nearly 3 tons. It stood about 1.8 meters (6 ft) tall. Styracosaurus possessed four short legs and a bulky body. Its tail was rather short. It also had a beak and flat cheek teeth, indicating that its diet was herbivorous. Like other ceratopsians, this dinosaur may have been a herd animal, traveling in large groups, as suggested by bonebeds.

Named by Lawrence Lambe in 1913, Styracosaurus is a member of the Centrosaurinae. Two species, S. albertensis and S. ovatus are currently assigned to Styracosaurus. Other species assigned to the genus have since been reassigned elsewhere.

Individuals of the Styracosaurus genus were approximately 5.5 m (18 ft) long as adults and weighed around 2.7 tons. The skull was massive, with a large nostril, a tall straight nose horn, and a parietosquasomal frill (a neck frill) crowned with at least four large spikes. Each of the four longest frill spines was comparable in length to the nose horn, at 50 to 55 centimeters long (19.7 to 21.7 in). The nasal horn is estimated at 57 centimeters long (19.7 in) in the type specimen, but the horn is only partially complete. Based on other nasal horn cores from Styracosaurus and Centrosaurus, this horn may have come to a rounded point at around half of that length.

Aside from the large nasal horn and four long frill spikes, the cranial ornamentation was variable. Some individuals had small hook-like projections and knobs at the posterior margin of the frill, similar to but smaller than those in Centrosaurus. Others had less prominent tabs. Some, like the type individual, had a third pair of long frill spikes. Others had much smaller projections. The second species, S. ovatus, had only four large spikes, but the inner pair curved toward each other, the opposite of what is seen in the much better known S. albertensis. Other small points are found on the side margins of some but not all specimens. Modest pyramid-shaped brow horns were present in subadults, but were replaced by pits in adults. Like most ceratopsids, Styracosaurus had large fenestrae (skull openings) in its frill. The front of the mouth had a toothless beak.

Artist's impression of StyracosaurusThe bulky body of Styracosaurus resembled that of a rhinoceros. It had powerful shoulders which may have been useful in intraspecies combat. Styracosaurus had a relatively short tail. Each toe bore a hooflike ungual which was sheathed in horn.

Various limb positions have been proposed for Styracosaurus and ceratopsids in general, including forelegs which were held underneath the body, or, alternately, held in a sprawling position. The most recent work has put forward an intermediate crouched position as most likely. Paleontologists Gregory Paul and Per Christiansen of the Zoological Museum of the University of Copenhagen in Denmark proposed that large ceratopsians such as Styracosaurus were able to run at speeds exceeding that of an elephant, based on possible ceratopsian trackways which did not exhibit signs of sprawling forelimbs

Water Turbines.

A Francis Turbine runner, rated at nearly One million HP (750MW)

A Propeller type runner rated 21 MW

Kaplan Turbine and Electrical Generator Rated away View.

A water turbine is a rotary engine that takes energy from moving water. Water turbines were developed in the nineteenth century and were widely used for industrial power prior to electrical grids. Now they are mostly used for electric power generation. They harness a clean and renewable energy source

Theory of operation

Flowing water is directed on to the blades of a turbine runner, creating a force on the blades. Since the runner is spinning, the force acts through a distance (force acting through a distance is the definition of work). In this way, energy is transferred from the water flow to the turbine.

Water turbines are divided into two groups; reaction turbines and impulse turbines.

Reaction turbines

Reaction turbines are acted on by water, which changes pressure as it moves through the turbine and gives up its energy. They must be encased to contain the water pressure (or suction), or they must be fully submerged in the water flow.

Newton's third law describes the transfer of energy for reaction turbines.

Most water turbines in use are reaction turbines. They are used in low and medium head applications. in reaction turbine pressure drop occurs in both fixed and moving blades.

Impulse turbines

Impulse turbines change the velocity of a water jet. The jet impinges on the turbine's curved blades which change the direction of the flow. The resulting change in momentum (impulse) causes a force on the turbine blades. Since the turbine is spinning, the force acts through a distance (work) and the diverted water flow is left with diminished energy.

Prior to hitting the turbine blades, the water's pressure (potential energy) is converted to kinetic energy by a nozzle and focused on the turbine. No pressure change occurs at the turbine blades, and the turbine doesn't require a housing for operation.

Newton's second law describes the transfer of energy for impulse turbines.

Impulse turbines are most often used in very high head applications.

Dont think about it- Playing Style - Part 2

Nadal on Action in Cincinnati Masters, Ohio, USA.

Do u ever tried to play like him?

Nadal generally plays an aggressive behind-the-baseline game founded on heavy topspin groundstrokes, consistency, speedy footwork, and tenacious court coverage. Known for his athleticism and speed around the court, Nadal is a capable defender who hits well on the run, constructing winning plays from seemingly defensive positions. While primarily a baseliner, Nadal is also a comfortable net player, using well-struck approach shots, drop shots, and volleys when situations dictate.Nadal's touch and skill at net and his ability to finish points from that position on the court are one of the most underestimated aspects of his game.

Nadal employs a full western grip forehand, often with a "buggy-whip" follow through, where his left arm hits through the ball and finishes above his left shoulder—as opposed to a more traditional finish across the body or around his opposite shoulder. Nadal's forehand groundstroke form allows him to hit shots with heavy topspin—more so than many of his contemporaries. While Nadal's shots tend to land short of the baseline, the characteristically high bounces his forehands achieve tend to mitigate the advantage an opponent would normally gain from capitalizing on a short ball. Nadal is also able to hit his forehand with a more traditional follow-through when a deeper, more penetrating shot is called for.

Nadal has developed his serve into a solid weapon since his earlier years as a pro. Nadal is able to deliver a high percentage of first serves, struck with pace and placed strategically. Nadal's second serve usually employs a hard left-handed slice towards right-handed opponents' backhands. Nadal relies on the consistency of his serve to gain a strategic advantage early in the point and earn a respectable amount of aces and service winners. Nadal's mental resiliency and strategic approach to the game is another noted strength. Nadal is able to avoid discouragement regardless of match score, allowing him to singularly focus on winning the current point and gaining an advantage. As a strategic player, Nadal can assess outside variables such as court surface, weather conditions, and his opponent's tactics in order to adjust his own play to best adapt to present conditions.

While Nadal's game is best-suited to clay courts, Nadal is no longer considered a "clay court specialist" due to continued success at tournaments played on other surfaces. Despite praise for Nadal's talent and skill, some have questioned his longevity in the sport, citing his build and playing style as conducive to injury. Nadal himself has admitted to the physical toll hard courts place on ATP Tour players, calling for a reevaluated tour schedule featuring fewer hard court tournaments.

Blue-footed Booby, Marine iguana adn Charles Darwin

The Blue-footed Booby.

The Marine iguana of Galapagos.

Galápagos Islands (Official name: Archipiélago de Colón) are an archipelago of volcanic islands distributed around the equator in the Pacific Ocean, 972 km west of continental Ecuador. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site: wildlife is its most notable feature.

The Galápagos Islands form the Galápagos Province of Ecuador and are part of the country's national park system. The principal language on the islands is Spanish. The islands have a population of around 40,000, which is a 40-fold expansion in 50 years. The islands are geologically young and famed for their vast number of endemic species, which were studied by Charles Darwin during the voyage of the Beagle. His observations and collections contributed to the inception of Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection.

Physical Geography:

Located in the eastern Pacific Ocean at 973 km (604 miles) off the west coast of South America. The closest land mass is the mainland of Ecuador to the east (the country to which they belong), to the North is Cocos Island 720 km (447 miles) and to the South is Easter Island and San Felix Island at 3200 km (1,990 miles).

The islands are found at the coordinates 1°40'N-1°36'S, 89°16'-92°01'W. Straddling the equator, islands in the chain are located in both the northern and southern hemisphere with Volcan Wolf and Volcano Ecuador on Isla Isabela being directly on the equator line. Española the southernmost island and Darwin the northernmost island are spread out over a distance of 220 km (137 miles).

The Galapagos Archipelago consists of 7,880 square km (3,042 sq. miles) of land spread over 45,000 square km (28,000 miles) of ocean. The largest of the islands, Isabela, measures 4,640 square km and making up half of the total land area of the Galapagos. Volcan Wolf, on Isabela is the highest point with an elevation of 1,707 m (5,600 ft.) above sea level.

The group consists of 13 main islands, 6 smaller islands, and 107 rocks and islets. The islands are located at the Galapagos Triple Junction. It is also atop the Galapagos hotspot, a place where the Earth's crust is being melted from below by a mantle plume, creating volcanoes. The oldest island is thought to have formed between 5 and 10 million years ago. The youngest islands, Isabela and Fernandina, are still being formed, with the most recent volcanic eruption in April 2009 where lava from the volcanic island Fernandina started flowing both towards the island's.

Don't Think About It.- Part 1

He is one of the greatest Tennis Player according many Tennis Pundits. He is the most Younger player in Clay-Court Tennis History who won a Rolla-garo ( French Open) Trophy. He is going better and better. He is the best. His fighting stamina make him different from other of his class.
He is a legend. Champion of Champions. Guess who..................? U may guess from his picture posted here. He is ............................... Read this.

Rafael Nadal Parera (born June 3, 1986) is a Spanish professional tennis player who has been ranked World No. 1 since August 18, 2008. He has won six Grand Slam singles titles and the 2008 Olympic gold medal in singles. He has captured the last four French Open singles titles, joining Björn Borg in 2008 as the only other man to have won four consecutive singles titles there. In 2008, Nadal became the second Spanish man to win Wimbledon. Nadal is only the third male player in the open era to have won the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year, and the first since 1980 (Borg). In 2009, Nadal became the first Spaniard to win the Australian Open. Seems little bit professional writing.Hmmmmmmm

Since 2004, Nadal has had a storied rivalry with Roger Federer, which many consider to be among the greatest in tennis history. They are the only men in the open era who have played each other in seven Grand Slam finals, with Nadal winning five of those matches. Nadal was ranked World No. 2 behind Federer for a record 160 weeks before earning the top spot. Nadal has won 13 of their 19 singles matches, as well as all five of their most recent encounters.

Nadal has been especially successful on clay courts. He has a 25–1 record in clay court tournament finals and is undefeated in 45 best-of-five-set matches on clay.Unbetable. In each of the last four years, he has won both the French Open and two clay court Masters Series tournaments. He also owns the longest single-surface winning streak by a man in the open era, having won 81 consecutive matches on clay from April 2005 to May 2007. As a result, some tennis critics and top players already regard him as the greatest clay-court player of all time.

On August 18, 2008, for the first time ever Nadal clinched the year-end World No. 1 ranking for 2008. The same year, he was given the prestigious Prince of Asturias Award for his achievements in sports.

Step Brothers of my workmate!!!???

Picture of a turbojet

A jet engine is a reaction engine that discharges a fast moving jet of fluid to generate thrust in accordance with Newton's laws of motion. This broad definition of jet engines includes turbojets, turbofans, rockets, ramjets, pulse jets and pump-jets. In general, most jet engines are internal combustion engines but non-combusting forms also exist.

In some common usage, the term 'jet engine' generally refers to an internal combustion duct engine, which typically consists of an engine with a rotary (rotating) air compressor powered by a turbine ("Brayton cycle"), with the leftover power providing thrust via a propelling nozzle. These types of jet engines are primarily used by jet aircraft for long distance travel. The early jet aircraft used turbojet engines which were relatively inefficient for subsonic flight. Modern subsonic jet aircraft usually use high-bypass turbofan engines which help give high speeds as well as, over long distances, giving better fuel efficiency than many other forms of transport.

About 7.2% of the oil used in 2004 was ultimately consumed by jet engines. In 2007, the cost of jet fuel, while highly variable from one airline to another, averaged 26.5% of total operating costs, making it the single largest operating expense for most airlines.

Gas Turbine- My workmate.!!??

A steam turbine picture.Use to generate electriciy with co-operation of Generator.

Applications of gas turbines

Gas turbines, also known as combustion turbines, are common prime movers for many applications. Their historically high fuel consumption, especially for small units (less than 10,000 kW), as well as at part load, and at high inlet air temperatures has made them less desirable than diesel engines for prime power plant applications. They have been utilized extensively in standby and peaking applications where their relatively low installed cost outweighs other factors. Open or simple cycle gas turbines are used in virtually all power plant applications and only this type will be addressed in this chapter. Combined cycle systems, where heat is recovered from the gas turbine exhaust and used to make steam which then drives a steam turbine, have become much more common in recent years, but they will not be discussed here.

Gas turbine operating characteristics

Gas turbines are based on the Brayton or Joule cycle which consists of four processes: compression with no heat transfer, heating at constant pressure, expansion with no heat transfer, and in a closed cycle system, cooling at constant pressure. In open cycle gas turbines, the fourth step does not exist since inlet air is taken from the atmosphere and the exhaust is dumped to atmosphere. Due to its higher temperature, there is more energy available from the expansion process than is expended in the compression. The net work delivered to drive a generator is the difference between the two. The thermal efficiency of the gas turbine is a function of the pressure ratio of the compressor, the inlet temperature of the power turbine,
and any parasitic losses (especially the efficiency of the compressor and power turbine). Practical limitations on thermal efficiency due to losses and materials technology yield a maximum of about 40 percent at pressure ratios of 30 to 40 and temperatures of approximately 2,500°F. These temperatures and pressure ratios are found only in recently developed, large gas turbines. Typically pressure ratios of 5 to 20 and turbine inlet temperatures from 1,400 to 2,000°F are common in gas turbines for this application, resulting in efficiencies from 20 to 33 percent. As improved materials and cooling technologies are introduced to smaller units, the efficiencies can be expected to improve if the cost is not prohibitive.

Sports of Bangladesh

While Kabbadi is the national game of Bangladesh, Football and Cricket are more popular with Cricket being the most popular sport in Bangladesh followed very closely by Football. The Bangladeshi cricket team won the ICC Trophy in 1997 against Kenya which qualified them for the 1999 Cricket World Cup. In their very first world cup Bangladesh beat Pakistan in first round. In 2000, the Bangladeshi cricket team was granted Test cricket status and be able to play other test playing nations. At various times Bangladesh has beat Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan; more importantly Bangladesh has beat India and South Africa in 2007 Cricket World Cup. Other popular sports include field hockey, tennis, badminton, handball, volleyball, chess, carrom games, and kabbadi, which is the national sport of Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Sports Control Board regulates twenty-nine different sporting federations.

Mother,s Day

The modern Mother's Day holiday was created by Anna Jarvis as a day for each family to honor their mother, and it's now celebrated on various days in many places around the world. It complements Father's Day, the celebration honoring fathers.

This holiday is relatively modern, being created at the start of the 20th century, and should not be confused with the early pagan and Christian traditions honoring mothers, or with the 16th century celebration of Mothering Sunday, which is also known as Mother's Day in the UK.

In most countries the Mother's Day celebration is a recent holiday derived from the original US celebration. Exceptions are, for example, the Mothering Sunday holiday in the UK.

It is celebrated in the United States each year on the second Sunday of May.

Historical antecedents

Different countries celebrate Mother's Day on various days of the year because the day has a number of different origins.

One school of though Claims this day emerged from a custom of mother worship in ancient Greece, which kept a festival to Cybele, a great mother of Greek gods. This festival was held around the Vernal Equinox around Asia Minor and eventually in Rome itself from the Ides of March (15 March) to 18 March.

The ancient Romans also had another holiday, Matronalia, that was dedicated to Juno, though mothers were usually given gifts on this day.

In addition to Mother's Day, International Women's Day is celebrated in many countries on March 8

Ways to money blogging #2

3) Promote Affiliate Programs

Marketing affiliate programs is very common nowadays. You sign up with affiliate program of an online company, then decide whether to use the company's text link or banner ads on your blog to promote the company's products or services and earn affiliate commission when a visitor make a purchase through your affiliate link. Affiliate programs can be promoted without a website and blog too.

4) Pay Per Post Programs

Pay per post programs started last year. The programs pay bloggers to write a blog post about a sponsor's website. The paid blog post can be a review or an introduction on the advertiser's website, products or services. The blogger will be paid a least $5 for each sponsor post. Blogs that have massive traffic, high Google PR and large number of subscribers can charge a few hundred dollar for just writing one sponsor post. Here's are the two most popular Pay per post networks that offer this type of earning opportunities:

www.reviewme.com
www.payperpost.com

The downside of pay per post is that writing too many sponsor posts that are not relevant to your blog content can seriously affect your traffic. But without a large traffic its tough to get.

5) Sell Text Link Ads

Selling text links on your blog can be a great source of additional online revenue. It is not difficult to get started, just go to Text-link-ads.com to sign up an account, then decide which part of your pages you want to display paid text links, set your price and you are ready to take order. Text-link-ads.com will handle all the promotional works. Another company that offers the similar services as Text-link-ads.com is Reverselinks.com . Can't you see those in this articles, then have have few clicks.

6) Hosting Web Poll

Vizu Answer offers a pretty new way to monetize your blog's and website's traffic. The pays the publishers on a cost-per-thousand impression (CPM) basis for hosting targeted web poll. The money a blogger can earn from hosting poll is depending on the page views. The more page views, the higher the earning.

Ways to money blogging.............

1) Cost-Per-Click (CPC) Advertising Programs

CPC advertising programs are the best money making programs for most of the bloggers. They are suitable to all kind of blogs with family-friendly content regardless of their traffic level and age. CPC programs work well on blog because they display contextual ads that are highly relevant to blogs content and bloggers will earn anywhere between 10 cents to 50 cents for each contextual ads click by their visitors. With proper CPC ads optimization and consistent amount of traffic, a blogger can earn a steady amount of money displaying CPC ads on his/her blog. Google AdSense is no doubt, the undisputed king of CPC advertising programs and Yahoo Publisher Network is the closest alternative of AdSense. So few clicks on my blog adds.......

2) Cost-Per-Action (CPA) Advertising Programs

CPA programs is quite similar to CPC programs except CPA programs don't pay bloggers for each click on the CPA ads hosted by bloggers. The blogger only makes money when the visitor takes an action on the CPA advertiser website. The action can be a sign up, making a purchase, generating a lead, downloading a product and more. CPA networks pay a lot more than CPC programs, for a visitor sent by the blogger from his/her blog to a CPA advertiser website and the visitor taken an action on the advertiser site, the blogger can earn few dollar to fifty dollar depend on the niche. But CPA ads tend to work well on large traffic blogs only. AzoogleAds.com, Commission Junction and Advertising.com are some of the largest CPA networks. Its a tough one. Friends please complete a search and click in any one of search results................

Grandmother.

My grandy called me " Kala Bhai". She loved me much more than any other of his grandchildren. When she came to visited our house, I was fond of her companion and she brushed and massage my hair everytime i lied down besides her. And luckly she was in our house everytime of my great success. She always blessed me, one day I will be a great one.

She like to cook and taste of her cooked food was excellent. Though i tasted those few times. In litereature she was dark but in religion I haven't seen any one like her. Shee recites various Doa, ( prayers) seems she is an expert. And her cleaness and neatness was undescrible. She raised her five daughter well and very well without her husbands absence of dying. Educated them and handed over them to right bride. She was suffereing very badly in last few months from aged diseases.

I have never faced the news of death of any close relatives. As a fast timer, My felling just blunt.Seems part of my soul gone away. Felling a vacuum in heart.

She passed away today from all of us. Tears betrayed with me, What can I do? I just prayed for her.

May Allah, the almighty, the lord of us placed her in heaven.
Pray for the peace of her soul............

The Perfect Date.

Dating…the sweet old time spent in getting to know each other, sharing thoughts and hoping that it leads to something more permanent. Yes all those Hollywood flicks were not lying: going on a date is a big deal. After all a date is the only official time when two people really get to hang out, talk and find out more about one another in person. Yes, late night phone calls are adventurous and e-cards at work are cute but it is actually when you spend time in each other's company that really tells you whether this rendezvous is worth the effort.

Thus it is only natural that you would want your dates to be perfect. A little candlelight, some chocolates and Celine in the background? Of course. But is it enough? Of course not. The perfect date is like a great painting or a scrumptious lobster bisque. It takes time, effort and above all, imagination. So grab a cushion and read on as we tell you the secrets to creating The Perfect Date.

The Perfect Place
“Love don't cost a thing”
The perfect place for a date doesn't necessarily mean an ultra-expensive candlelit French restaurant. Nor does it mean box tickets to the next India-Pakistan match. If it's a first date, you don't want the place to give off intense romantic vibes or be loud and noisy where you can't talk in comfort. So go for someplace neutral like a coffee shop and share a cuppa

The Perfect Outfit
Fashion can be bought. Style one must possess.”
As superficial as it may sound, what you wear to your dates, especially your very first one, can be of considerable significance. Yes appearance does matter, well at least initially. It's okay to be a 30-year-old die-hard Elvis fan. But it isn't okay to turn up on a date with Elvis's hair or pants.

The Perfect Gift
“Give a little bit”
Flowers, chocolates, perfumes and cufflinks? Seems to be about right doesn't it? Wrong! Not every girl eats chocolates and not every guy wears cufflinks. So how does one figure out what to give his/her date? Simple. Listen. Both sexes have a tendency of talking about things they like without even realising that they have done it. And during the initial dates people talk about common interests to break the ice. That gives you a glimpse into the person's personality as well as preferences. If she tells you about Candace Bushnell's latest novel, chances are she'll like The Devil Wears Prada. If he tells you how he fixed his bike all by himself, a subscription to Top Gear might just be what he will like

The Perfect Mate
“Don't like me yet? Have another drink.”
Dates are the perfect way to find out about each other. And the best way to do that is by talking and more importantly listening. Give your date your full and undivided attention while she/he is speaking. Don't keep on acting like you know it all even if you really do know it all. And don't use what she/he is saying as a jump off point to highlight some great feat that you have accomplished. No one likes a know-it-all and self-promotion is no promotion at all. You don't have to prove how simply wonderful you are. Let your date make that decision. After all, humility too, is a virtue.

NOKIA E75 and its advantages.

It's email on the go with E75

First, there was mobile phone sets with basic programmes only for making calls and sending messeges, then came handsets with cameras and after that the internet. Although it felt great to surf on the tiny screen but emails were never that good. It always felt that emails were better on PCs or Notebooks than handsets, untill Nokia E series hit the market. After that the whole concept of mobile email changed and it got better when E75 came, the latest E series from Nokia.

Promising to offer the benefits of full desktop email functionality in a mobile handset, the E75 was launched for the Bangladesh market on April 26. It is the first device to offer the latest Nokia messaging email user interface, which makes the email experience easier than ever .Unlike other E-series handsets, the E75 features a slide-out Qwerty keyboard and two customisable home screen views offering business and personal user interfaces. When the E75 is open to display the QWERTY keyboard it becomes 80mm wide. The handset can be used in a horizontal or vertical position, obviously if you are typing a text message you would want to use the QWERTY keyboard so would therefore be using the E75 in a horizontal position.

The complete integration of its email and messaging services would allow for an efficient three-step email setup. The E75 has also been configured to offer access to both corporate and consumer email accounts, including Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveller. The handset also offers integration with Nokia's web-based Ovi services, including Ovi Files for storing and accessing files and documents on a PC even when it is offline.

The phone has a pricetag of $ 400 for the market. So check it and
click on adds to help me buy one......

Swine Flue (H1N!)

How to Stay Healthy During the Influenza A (H1N1) Pandemic

The recent outbreak of swine-origin influenza virus A (also termed H1N1), or more commonly as "swine flu," has many people concerned about their health. These concerns are justified but need to be placed into a perceptive to avoid a social panic that will not benefit anyone. Swine flu is a respiratory disease found in pigs caused by type A flu virus. It is contagious the same way any other known influenza virus is transmitted which includes person to person contact via coughing and sneezing. Swine flu cannot be transmitted by eating or handling pork, and properly cooked pork is safe to be consumed. Also, as with any influenza outbreak people with underlying medical conditions such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, poorly controlled diabetes and similar clinical conditions are likely more susceptible to acquiring swine flu if they come into contact with the virus. It is essential to remember that for anyone, regardless of their health status, the only way to get swine flu is that the individual has to come into contact with a person actively infected with a confirmed case of H1N1. This article is going to help you understand how to prevent swine flu, review the symptoms of infection, examine prevention and treatment interventions that are effective and available.

Instructions

Step 1

The basics of infection are simple and you already know them. However, it may be a good time for you to sit down with your family and review them.
a. Eat a healthy diet that includes plenty of fruits and vegetables.
b. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking enough water.
c. Get adequate rest and exercise to help you immune system function properly.
d. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or one of the many over the counter hand sanitizers. Hands should always be washed after using a bathroom, eating, sneezing, coughing, or touching any object that may be contaminated with significant bacteria or viruses. A simple to rule to follow is that if you have any doubt about if you should be washing your hands then you should indeed be washing them!
e. If you develop cold-like symptoms, even mild one, it is best to stay home from work, school, and social events for the time being. If your cold symptoms are more likely “common cold” that will usually typically respond to your usual self-care interventions. However, if they worsen you should contact your medical provider immediately. (The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also suggest that anyone who is strongly suspected of having contracted swine flu be asked to wear a disposable face mask to prevent possible transmission to others.)

Step 2

It is important to know the signs and symptoms of swine flu in order to protect yourself and your family. However, remember that swine flu presents like virtually any other flu-like syndrome so while it is prudent to be cautious the odds of you NOT coming into contract with someone with cold-like or allergy symptoms this time of year are fairly remote so please do not over react. Remember, the only way to get infected with swine flu is to come into contact with someone who has a confirmed case of the virus or touching a swine flu virus contaminated object.

The basic symptoms of swine flu include: fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Diarrhea and vomiting have also been reported but to a lesser extent.

Step 3

Since it not yet know how easily swine flu is transmitted between people it may be wise to avoid close contact with people who are displaying flu-like symptoms. However, this should action should not interrupted as to isolate yourself from an ill individual if you feel well and are following the prevention items listed in step 1. While not yet a standard of care the ill person might provide you with a level of protection if they wear a disposable mask covering their nose and mouth while in your presence.

Step 4

If you have come into contact with a person suspected of having or confirmed with swine flu there are two drugs that can be taken to prevent you from becoming infected with the virus or to lessen the severity of the disease. Currently only two out of the five anti-viral flu drugs are effective against swine flu. The two effective medications are: Oseltamivir (brand name Tamiflu ®) to prevent and treat in people 1 year of age or older, and Zanamivir (brand name Relenza ®) is approved to treat people 7 years and older and to prevent influenza A and B virus infection in people 5 years and older. Currently there health authorities are testing other medications, but as of now only Tamiflu and Relenza are known to help with swine flu infection. Generally treatment for swine flu is a five day course of therapy and ten days are required for prevention control.
It is also important to note that these drugs are NOT in short supply or difficult to manufacture. There is no reason to stock pile drugs or panic.

Step 5

Stay informed. The science and knowledge of swine flu infection and treatment is rapidly evolving on a daily basis which is NORMAL when there is a flu breakout. Newly developed information should not be considered a concern for panic. It should be viewed as scientific advancement the health care community learns more about this emerging infection.

How to Earn Money Blogging!!

Blogging and money online!!

Blogging is an excellent online income opportunity that has become extremely popular in recent years. You can use free blogging sites such as WordPress or Blogger, and it's not going to cost a thing to start blogging for money. There are many different online income opportunities for making money from a blog.

Instructions

Step 1
Make Money Blogging From Pay Per Click Advertisements

Many people who start up blogs to make money earn most of their income from pay per click advertising revenue. The way this blog money making method works is that they simply place a small HTML code from Google on their blog, and when visitors come to read the content, those visitors might click on the advertisements. Every time an ad gets clicked on their site, the blogger earns money online.

Step 2
Make Money Blogging From Direct Advertising

If a blog gets very popular with the audience and receives a high number of daily visitors, the blogger will then have other online income opportunities open up. These extra income opportunities will usually come in the form of direct advertising. In this case scenario the blogger might be offered several hundred dollars or more just to put an ad on their webpages instead of getting paid just a few dollars or cents each time someone clicks an ad.

Step 3
Make Money Blogging From Selling Products

Quite a few Bloggers also can make a lot of money online from selling their own products. It is really not that hard to write an ebook or create a special report about something you know well and offer it for sale on your blog. You can also create your own coffee mugs or t-shirts for instance, and earn money from your blog when those sell. You can also recommended books or other products available for purchase from other sources, and earn very generous sales commissions when your visitors buy those products.

How to Earn Money Online

Money online

Many people dream of the ability to quit their job and stay rich earning income online at home. However, they do not have clear ideas on how we can earn income online. All they know is to join some pyramid schemes online and hopefully they can earn their money fast in that way. What they do not know is that this kind of scheme do not last long and might cause them to fall into further debt and the ruin of their trust and reputation. Here I am going to review the real ways honest people earn money online ...

Instructions

Step 1
Do a massive studies online to find out who are the masters or gurus that earn their wealth online. One key point to know whether he/she is a true master/guru is by studying his/her background. Most of the masters do not involve immediately in selling internet marketing products at the beginning of their careers. Most of them specialized in their niche areas before they become success and start teaching peoples how to earn money online. For example, I myself earned my income in health related product by starting my website at http://www.yourhealthproduct.com before involving in selling internet marketing related products. This is because I must show some results before teaching peoples how to do the exactly same way I am doing. Sound logical?

Step2 ( Its the most easiest way)
The first way to earn money online is through blog. Start a blog of something you are interested on and can provide valuable information on. On your blog, you provide advertisement spaces so you can earn some passive income while others visit your site and click your advertisement. The key point here is to have valuable information where people will come back again and again to view your articles. Besides, you should have massive traffic to your blog everyday.

Step 3
The second way you can earn money online is by joining affiliate program. Affiliate program allow you to earn money from the prospects you referred to directed sites. For example, you refer your customer to a website that is selling health-related product. If the customer buys the product, you will immediately earn your income

Step 4
The third way you can earn money online is by selling reseller products provided by some internet marketers. Reseller products are created by some internet marketers for people who are interested to earn money online but do not have products to sell. The things you should do is get some resell products, set a website, drag traffic to your site and wait for people to come to your site to buy the products. You have to control the quality of the products you are selling cause selling bad products or useless products will ruin your reputation online.

CLICK! CLICK!! CLICK!!!

The ticket checker of the train asked him" what is Your name"?. The boy replied " Matin". The checker asked him " where is your parents and why are you walking along"?. The boy answered " I am alone and enjoying the walk in the train". Where are you from? he says" from Dhaka". Where are u going now? he replied "Akhaura". Why you was in Dhaka?. "To see the fair and people of Dhaka", he answerd so simply. Aren't your mother wooried about you?." Not at all" he answered. What's your parents profession? "My father is a Bhandari(vagabond) and mother lives in slum and work here and there" he replied that he has no fear of this hustle and bustle full world. He also informed that he was in Dhaka for 3 days. After this he went all in a sudden towards the banana seller and start to gossipping with him.
My coligue described the story to us that he experienced while he was returning from his resident to here ( workplace). I just astonoished to hear this story. He confirmed me this is very normal scene for regular train traveler.
I thought about that a boy of 51/2 yrs of age went out of his home to discover the world that he dreamed. And was in his dream world 3 days all along without any fund and familiar one.And he is returning home with a joyfull mind and nobody was worried about him.

HISTORY: The area that is now Bangladesh has a rich historical and cultural past, combining Dravidian, Indo-Aryan, Mongol/Mughul, Arab, Persian, Turkic, and West European cultures. Residents of Bangladesh, about 98% of who are ethnic Bengali and speak Bangla, are called Bangladeshis. Urdu-speaking, non-Bengali Muslims of Indian origin, and various tribal groups, mostly in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, comprise the remainder. Most Bangladeshis (about 88%) are Muslims, but Hindus constitute a sizable (11%) minority. There also are a small number of Buddhists, Christians, and animists. English is spoken in urban areas and among the educated. The history of Bangladesh has been one of extremes, of turmoil and peace, prosperity and destitution. It has thrived under the glow of cultural splendour and suffered under the ravages of war. The earliest mention of Bangladesh is found in the Hindu epic, the Mahabharata (the story of Great Battle-9th century B.C). Evidence also suggests that there was a strong Mongoloid presence as well. Soon after, in the 5th and 6th centuries B.C. came the Aryans from Central Asia and the Dravidians from Western India. Then came the Guptas, Paals, Senas, who were Buddhist and Hindus. From the 13th century A.D. the flood of Muslim invaders and the tide of Islam upto l8th century swamped the Buddhist and Hindus. Sometimes there were independent rulers like the Hussain Shahi and Ilyas Shahi dynasties while at other times they ruled on behalf of the imperial seat of Delhi. From 15th century the Europeans, namely; Portuguese, Dutch, French and British traders exerted an economic influence over the region. British political rule over the region began in 1757 A.D. when the last Muslim ruler of Bengal was defeated at Palassey. After the end of the British rule In1947 the country was partitioned into India and Pakistan. Present Bangladesh became the Eastern Wing of the then Pakistan. But the movement for autonomy for East Pakistan started within a couple of years because of linguistic and cultural difference and economic disparity between the two wings. The seeds of independence were sown through the Language Movement of 1952 to recognize Bangla as a state language. Ultimately then, the East Pakistan emerged as a sovereign and independent state of Bangladesh in 1971 after nine month-long the bloodiest war in modern history of Liberation (starting on 26 March 1971) under the leadership of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On December 16, 1971, Pakistani forces surrendered, and Bangladesh-meaning "Bengal nation"--was born; the new country became a parliamentary democracy under a 1972 constitution.

PEOPLE AND CULTURE: The Bengal region has a multifaceted folk heritage, enriched by its ancient animist, Buddhist, Hindu, and Muslim roots. Weaving, pottery and terracotta sculpture are some of the earliest forms of artistic expression. The best-known literature of Bangladesh is the work of the great Bengali poets Rabindranath Tagore and Nazrul Islam. Folk theatre is common at the village level and usually takes place during harvest time or at Melas (village fairs). There are many folk dances, but classical dance is largely borrowed from Indian models and is frowned upon by the more severe religious leaders. Bangladesh's Muslims and Hindus live in relative harmony. The Muslim majority has religious leaders, piers, whose status straddles the gap between that of a bishop and that of a sage. Hinduism in Bangladesh lacks the pomp and awe of the Indian version, but consequently Hindu ceremonies are rarely conducted in the depths of temples to which access is restricted. People here are very willing for you to watch and even participate. Buddhists today form only a tiny minority of the population. It's worth noting that the Bangladeshi pride in ancestry is balanced by the Islamic slant of the country's intellectual life, which tends to deny the achievements of the preceding Hindu and Buddhist cultures. A typical Bangladeshi meal consists of beef (or sometimes mutton, chicken, fish or egg) and vegetables cooked in a hot spicy sauce with mustard oil, yellow watery lentils (dal) and plain rice. Fish is part of the staple diet; however, over-fishing has led to a scarcity of river fish and more sea fish are appearing on menus. Alcoholic drinks are not widely available; head for five-star hotels and ritzier restaurants when you want a tipple.

RELIGION: The four major religions in the country are Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity. The Muslims constitute about 88 percent of the population and the Hindus about 10 percent. The Constitution guarantees religious and cultural freedom to all citizens

GOVERNMENT: The country is officially known as the People's Republic of Bangladesh and has a Parliamentary form of Government. The President is the head of the state. The Prime Minister heads the Government. The country is divided into six divisions (regions), namely; Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Barisal, Sylhet and Khulna. There are 64 districts, 460 thanas (police station), and 85,650 villages under six divisions. Besides there are 38 thanas (Police station) that mostly fall in metropolitan cities or other urban areas.

CLIMATE: Bangladesh has a tropical monsoon climate. There are basically four seasons in a year - Winter (December - February), Summer (March-May), Monsoon (June-September) and Autumn (October-November). The temperature across the country ranges between 13.5°C and 26.5°C in winter months. Annual rainfall varies from 160 cm to 200 cm in the west, 200 cm to 400 cm in the southeast and 250 cm to 400 cm in the northeast.

FLORA: The tropical climate has made the country luxuriant in vegetation. The villages are usually buried in groves of Mango, Banana, Jackfruit, Coconut, Palm, Bamboo, and other useful trees. Forests cover about 17 percent of the land area. Herbs and shrubs grow everywhere. Most of the hilly regions are covered with forests. The largest forest is the Sundarbans, which stretches along the southwestern seaboard and provides sanctuary to the famous Royal Bengal Tiger.

FAUNA: A variety of wild animals are found in the forests. The Elephant, Clouded Leopard, Leopard cat, Rhesus monkey, Wild boar, Spotted Deer, Samber, Wild Dog, South Himalayan black Bear are few of them. Of the 200 species of mammals, the pride of place goes to the Royal Bengal Tiger found in the Sundarbans. Among the bovine animals, Buffalo, Ox and Bison are commonly seen. There are about 150 species of reptiles. Common reptiles include the Sea Turtle, River Tortoise, Mud Turtle, Crocodile, Python, Rat snake and Cobra. There are hundreds of species of birds, and fresh water fishes are abundant in both quantity and category. Of the 525 recorded species of birds, 350 are resident, of which are migratory that appear only in winter. The number of species of marine and fresh water fish total around 200.
